  1. Set up static IP for management console using DUCI (Direct Console User Interface)
  2. Enable Secure Shell Access (on demand only)
  3. Configure ESXi firewall, Networking – > Firewall Rules
  4. Configure NTP, In Navigator, Manage -> System -> Time & date
  5. log management
